If Palamu police last year seized 'jalebis' being taken for Maoists in Panki this Monday Mahuadarn police in latehar district seized shoes, blankets and medicines which were to be shipped to Maoists top commander Arvindji. Sources said nothing more irks Maoists than these seizures whether of eatables or medicines. Sources said police have restricted supply of provisions to Maoists but the fiscal flow to the naxals remains by and large free.

SP latehar Anoop Birtharey said the man Rehmatuullah alias Tullah a Maoists supporter has been arrested and these articles were seized from him which were to be delivered to Arvind ji. Birtharey said Arvindji has slipped from latehar range to Chhatisgarh and is holed up in Chunchuna in Chhatisgarh.

Tullah too comes from Chunchuna of Chhatisgarh. The nearest market is Mahuadarn of latehar district. Here Tullah had bought branded shoes and hot blankets along with medicines but was nabbed before he could have slipped from Mahuadarn to Chunchuna in Chhatisgarh.

Birtharey said Tullah had a contact in Mahuadarn where he spent his night there.

Tullah has three cases against him in Simree police picket in Chhatisgarh. Jailed in 2014 he was out on bail only to be sent to jail in latehar on February 1 2016. Mahuadarn police have seized posters and pamphlets of Maoists in possession of Tullah  Two cartridges were also recovered from him.

Sources said the very escape of Arvindji from latehar district is all because of the tremendous police pressure. Sources said the combine security forces like DAP latehar, CobRA, CRPF JJ had almost zeroed in on Arvind ji and in one case Arvind ji's shelter in the jungle bespoke of his rigorous life in the dense jungle.  Again in one other raid by security forces one gen set was discovered. Sources said Arvind ji might have taken his horses/mares with him to Chunchuna in Chhatisgarh.
