However, Khera aptly said it is solely upon the teachers who are the builders of the nation on whom the progress of any nation depends. “If a teacher fails to guide students and fill the education system with corrupt practices, the entire nation will get automatically destroyed. And the only way out to take the nation towards the correct direction is to inculcate correct values besides the academic knowledge among the kids during their schooling days.”

Emphasizing on other core issues like ensuring holistic development of kids, Khera said that today though through technology students are receiving world class education in different streams but in this fast catching modern era, students immensely lacks moral values, the most essential component to get success in life.

Making the session interactive while citing examples from his personnel life, Khera said that only two relations in this universe can bring difference at any stage in the lives of an individual, “Only a teacher and parents who not just support the students in ups and downs but also enlightens the young minds in choosing the correct paths helps in shaping up the lives of any individual,” Khera added.

Governor, Draupadi Murmu, who through her various field trips is trying to reach out to students, said that only through imparting quality education among the kids, society that is entangled in the web of social evils can be freed up. Purity, dignity and credibility must be maintained by the teachers as they are in one of the finest and most respectful profession. Murmu, while addressing the gathering in the presence of State-level Officials and ministers, asked the teachers to focus on overall development of the students.

“I believe as a Chancellor of Universities that if one really wants to improve the education system, one must try to transform the status of schools especially at the interior areas. Problems like dropouts must be addressed.”

Minister, Department of School Education and literacy, Neera Yadav during the programme urged all the stakeholders to develop an environment where students brainstorm 10 times before taking admission in any private schools. The Minister further added that the change should create impact in society highlighting not predominantly on academic frontage success only but also about various innovations, new ventures taken up by the students or the teachers of the government cradles.

Secretary, School Education and literacy, Aradhana Patnaik said that attempts are being made to improve the education system across the State. “At present, there are approximately 1.28 lakh teachers on 50 lakh students studying in government schools. In limited resources, different things are being streamlined to improve the quality of education in State,” Patnaik added
