Following the tradition of selfless giving, ‘Joy of Giving’ Week started in a festive look at DPS Bokaro.
The students of ‘Deepansh’ Shikhsha Kendra were welcomed on this eve. ‘Deepansh’ is run under the aegis of DPS Bokaro, for the marginalised sections of the society.
This is a day eagerly awaited by the students of the school to experience happiness over sharing in an ever-cheerful and welcoming environment, said a school authority.
A drawing competition was also organised on this eve for the Primary Wing where the Deepansh students participated with a great zeal. They remained glued to the stage when the students of class V (dramatics) performed a play ’Swarge Mein Hartal’, based on the theme of pollution, he said.
The students and the teachers donated wholeheartedly. The funds collected will be used for charity purpose for the underprivileged ones. The school aims to promote the essence of the Indian culture and ethos, imparting holistic growth of students through inclusive education, said the official.
