BJP national president Amit Shah on Saturday said that the State BJP will give a "bedag" (spotless) Government in Jharkhand for five years and it will never indulge in corruption. "The State Government, with help from the Central Government led by Narendra Modi, will ensure that the State becomes one of the most developed in the nation," he said.

"The Government of Jharkhand has just started now but I can assure the people of Jharkhand one thing that in the next five years it will not have a single corruption allegation. The people of Jharkhand must have faith in the BJP-led Government that it can never indulge in corrupt practices," Shah said, addressing over 25,000 party workers at Morhabadi Ground here on Saturday.

He also praised the Government for taking long-term development initiatives in a short span of 100 days and said that it ushered in a new era in Jharkhand bringing a plethora of opportunities for the residents of the State.

The BJP national president was addressing his first workers' conference after the formation of the Government in Jharkhand as he congratulated the party workers for crossing the 40 lakh mark in the party's ambitious drive to make 10 crore members so that it becomes the world's largest party in terms of membership.

Earlier, taking a dig at the Congress, Shah said that the party was spreading rumours that the BJP was working for corporate houses and wanted to snatch the land of the poor people. "See, who is spreading false rumours and making allegations. The party that did not auction the coal blocks and gave them to its preferred industries. It was the same party that gave its brother-in-law (Robert Vadra) hundreds of hectares of land," he said.

"You need hospitals, educational institutions, power for irrigation, industries for employment generation and many other things. The land Bill will ensure this. It will not snatch the land of the poor farmers. The BJP cannot do this," Shah added.

On the contrary, he said, the Government has garnered Rs 20 lakh cr through coal block auction, which, according to the Congress, was not recoverable. Shah said that the revenue generated from coal block auction will be utilized especially for the development of the eastern region of the country and Jharkhand was going to be the biggest beneficiary through the scheme.

"The nation has undergone a sea change. It is the BJP that has given non-political people a chance to serve on top posts across the nation. Else no tea seller or a labourer would have become PM and CM, respectively. The youths of the nation were also disappointed, aimless and harassed earlier but now they have plenty of opportunities," Shah said.

He also congratulated the people for giving full majority to the party in the State, saying that they have chosen a new path for development. The BJP president called upon the party workers of the State to go to the villages and explain to the people about the good works of the Narendra Modi-led Government at the Centre and the BJP Government in Jharkhand.

Shah expressed satisfaction with the work of the party workers in the State and said that they will certainly achieve the target of making 50 lakh members by the end of this month in order to contribute to the mission of making BJP the largest party of the world with 10 crore members.
