Shah lashes out at ruling alliance for 'unstable, corrupt Govt'

Alleging the father-son duo in Jharkhand of selling out mineral resources to the outsiders, BJP national president Amit Shah on Wednesday warned the people of Jharkhand that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would only be able to bring in development in the State if a Government of his choice is elected here.

Shah, while addressing an election meeting at Simdega, also lashed out at the ruling alliance in Jharkhand accusing them of forming an unstable and corrupt Government.

“Jharkhand is blessed with abundant coal and iron ore, but still the people here are poor. The reason is because Jharkhand never had a full majority Government. So, I urge you to vote for the BJP and give us two-third majority in the State,” he said.

The development of Jharkhand is possible only when there is a BJP Government in the State,” he added.

Shah urged the voters to throw out the JMM-led Hemant Soren Government as his father (Shibu Soren) looted the coal resources of the State while the son (Hemant Soren) did not even spare the sand.

Referring to the statement made by Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi questioning the achievements of Modi during his five-month rule, Shah said that they should reveal their achievements during its tenure of ten long years.

“Rahul 'baba', a few days back, had asked what the BJP Government has done after coming to the power at the Centre. Rahul 'baba' should first answer what did his party do when it was in power for ten years,” Shah said. There had only been scams like the 2G scam, coal scam, and Defence equipment purchase scam, added Shah.

Counting on the achievements of the BJP Government at the Centre, he said that unlike former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Modi has improved the prestige of over 125 crore citizens of India.

“It never happened in the past that thousands of people of Indian origin gathered to get a glance of their Prime Minister, as happened this time during Modi's visit to America and Australia,” Shah said. Modi has also added more prestige to Hindi by addressing the people in Hindi on the foreign land, he added.

Shah also alleged that the political parties in Jharkhand fight elections separately, but as soon as the elections are over they unite together to form unstable and corrupt Governments. “Do you think if lalu, Nitish, Shibu Soren or Babu lal Marandi form a Government in the State will ever let Prime Minister Modi to continue development works hereIJ” asked Shah.
