sAt around 10 am Sunday, families of Rajmohan Chandravanshi and Surendra Chaudhary entered into a verbal spate over land. The confrontation soon turned nasty as the exchange of words was replaced with lathi attack. The quarrel between the two soon joined by family members from both the parties who attacked with sticks.
The reason behind the clash is an old land dispute between the two members of the same family who claim their ownership over a piece of land. In the connection a case is pending before the Circle Officer, Meral.
The victims were identified as Rajmohan Chanwanshi, Santosh Chandravanshi, Manoj Chandravanshi,, Rakhendra Chandravanshi, Sunita Devi, Usha Devi, Surendra Chaudhary, Sunil Chaudhary, Ram Lakhan Chowdhary, Jitendra Choudhary, Devanti Devi , Bideshi Chaudhari and Kameswar Chaudhary. Injured are being treated at PHC, Meral and stated to be out of danger.
Both the groups involved in the clash have lodged FIR against each other in Meral police station.
