Hazaribagh police has arrested seven arms suppliers on Friday evening from Siyarkoni of Chauparan block. Cops recovered three countrymade pistols, two countrymade pipe gun, seven live cartridges and five mobiles from them. All arrested persons belong to Gaya district of Bihar.

The Barhi SDPO Vinod Kumar Sinha informed this in a Press conference held at police office at Hazaribagh. He said Hazaribagh SP got the information about arrival of arms supplier near Siyarkoni and on this information a police team led by officer incharge Chauparan raided and arrested all the seven people carrying these arms.

The arrested persons are Balo Manjhi, Sanjay Manjhi, Mukhlal Manjhi, Uma Singh, Murari Ravani, Munna Manjhi and Sanjiv Singh. Hazaribagh police has confirmed it from Gaya police that in Gaya they are accused in several criminal cases.

Siyarkoni is a small village known for Naxal activities. It is at the border of Bihar and Jharkhand and last year Hazaribagh police has captured two arm suppliers from this place with an American rifle. That case was investigated by NIA too.

Now, Hazaribagh police is trying to dig out their nexus with the Maoists because it is believed that Chauparan is an area where the Maoists deals with arm dealers.
