On July 5 the examinees of BA part II Hindi Honours of Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh appeared in third paper exam. After distribution of question paper within minutes some examinees stood up and complained to the invigilators that a part of question no. 4 is out of syllabus. When the teachers read that question it became clear that it is not a question but an attempt of question setter to please a person.
The students of Part II Hindi Honours were asked to write the name of university head of department of Hindi in this question. Though during examination time teachers cum invigilators kept quiet and said the examinees to answer it or attempt the alternative but after the end of exam this question was in the centre of talks. Prof. AP Verma, dept. of Hindi, Annada College, a national fame writer and critic, commented that the question setter and its selector had made the exam a mockery. Strong action should be taken against these types of teachers so that this type of thing can never happen again, he added.
Other teacher too said it unfortunate and a sign of deterioration in the educational community. They said that the present head of department of the university loves this type of buttering and the question setter has done it to please the HOD.
As the VC Dr. RN Bhagat and Pro VC Dr. AK Srivastava were not at Hazaribagh today so the newsmen asked the controller of examination about this question. Controller Prof. Siddique said that we will issue a show cause notice to the question setter.
