The newly elected member of Parliament (MP) from Ranchi, Sanjay Seth has already started interacting with the locals in his constituency and winning hearts. When a 15- year old girl Khusboo Kumari was taken to him with a broken leg on Thursday, the MP not only offered his support to the family but also spoke to the concerned doctor and urged him to treat the case as a priority.

“When the young girl and her parents came to meet the MP, he could not resist offering his full support for her treatment. He has sponsored the cost of her surgery of Rs. 60,000 and has also assured further assistance if needed,” said a close aide to Seth.

Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal an orthopedic surgeon in the State capital has treated the girl. “The girl had an accident and came with a fractured right leg. Even though she came with a two- month old injury, we have operated her and fixed a rod in her leg. She is doing absolutely fine and can walk with the help of crutches presently. She will be able to lead an absolutely normal life once the plaster is removed. We are trying to charge the family as less as possible,” said Dr Sanjay Jaiswal, Orthopedic surgeon, Ranchi.

Khusboo hails from a very humble background. Her father is a mechanic, while her mother works as a household help in Chutia. “She had an accident with a scooter and we took her to RMCH where the doctor did a plaster and asked her to visit after two months. When the plaster was removed, her leg had still not healed. A close relative took us to Sanjay Sethji and we are highly obliged to him for all his help.
