On the occasion of Diwali, Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth distributed 325 radio sets amongst panchayat chiefs in his constituency so that people can listen to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann ki Baat’ programme and avail its benefits.
A programme with all the gram panchayat chiefs present was organised at the Ranchi MP’s office on Sunday where everyone along with Seth heard the PM address the nation on the festival of Diwali.
“As per the tradition of Diwali of sharing sweets and gifts with everyone, it was the perfect occasion to give radio sets which is not so easily available these days.
During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, I had promised radio sets to the BJP gram panchayat chiefs which I fulfilled on Sunday. People eagerly wait for the PM to address the nation through Mann ki Baat on the last Sunday of every month.
Keeping this in mind radios have been distributed amongst the workers so that people in villages can get together not just to listen to him but also get updated about the latest developments and avail benefits,” said Seth.
The workers were very pleased to receive radio sets from the MP and said that it will now be very convenient for them to listen to Modi and also learn about the latest schemes and developments. The radios have been ordered from Delhi at a wholesale price of Rs 200 each.
Kanke MLA Jitu Charan Ram, Kripa Shankar Singh, Rajaram Mahto, Surendra Mahto were present with others on the occasion.
