Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth today met Union Human Resources Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhariyal ‘Nishank’ in Delhi and demanded opening of the Regional Office of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Seth said that Jharkhand has turned 19 years old as a separate State and more than 50,000 students take CBSE 10th and 12th board exams every year from the State. At present, more than 500 schools of the State are affiliated with CBSE, Delhi.
Despite these facts, Jharkhand doesn’t have its own CBSE regional office, while there are 10 regional offices across the State. A regional office in Ranchi will be really beneficial for the students of the State, especially those belonging to the SC and ST categories, he added.
Seth said that new schools will open after opening of a CBSE regional office in the State and Jharkhand and Ranchi, which has become an education hub, will be immensely benefitted by the office. The Minister listened to Seth carefully and said that the demand will be considered seriously and proper decision will be taken on the same.
