Principal district and sessions judge, Palamu civil court KK Srivastava has been ‘reminded’ to hold legal awareness camps in Sanskrit school and government recognised Madrasas of the district.
These are the two institutions where any legal awareness camp has not been held so far. There have been various legal awareness camps at the premise of the railway station, block office premise, schools, government hospital especially on world mental health day, prison etc but none in Sanskrit school and government recognised Madrasas.
legal awareness camps are now a good draw here in Palamu. People do come and hear the men of law speaking in their own simple way for the benefit of the masses. Interestingly a newsman raised this point before Srivastava who asked his secretary legal services authority Uttam Anand to look into the matter. Uttam Anand said he would be exploring the possibility.
Sanskrit schools and government recognised Madrasas have not been prominent places here. Block office premise is most preferred venue and the most visited ones by the rural folks. Similarly in a legal awareness camp there is a one way act .
It is the legal luminaries who only speak to the gathering. No question or suggestion is entertained from the gathering. The legal awareness camps can be more useful and interactive if one or two sensible people among the gathering is given space and time to speak said sources.
The PDJ Srivastava says he has many things planned for the comfort of the litigants and the clients. With his effort a toilet for gents and ladies is coming up in the premise of the civil court.
Further a 90 litre cold, purified drinking water facility a day is also to adorn the civil court quite sooner. Efforts are on to provide more space to witnesses in their witness shed.
A fleet of easy sitting chairs has been arranged before the Mediation Centre in the first floor of the civil court Palamu where the disputants sit for their turn for Mediation. The scene looks like of any doctor’s clinic where patients wait for their turn.
