Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday reiterated that serving dalits and destitute was in the priority of the State Government. While addressing the officials present during Seedhi Baat Programme, Das added that the schemes passed in the Assembly will benefit the masses, only if they succeed in developing intimate relations with them.

“More we reach out to the people and officers stay in the villages, more they will be able to solve the problem of the masses,” said the CM. The satisfaction one gets in serving people honestly, could not be obtained though any other means, he added.

CM further added that the State has incurred heavy losses due to unstable Governments in the State since it was formed in the year 2000.

“Now the things have changed and there is a sense of confidence among the people that there is a Government in the State, which is hearing them patiently. People are also excited about it. People are supreme in democracy and hence their feelings could not be avoided,” said the CM.

Das, while hearing complaints on Seedhi Baat programme, directed Khunti DC to return `7.5 lakh to the women group with interest within a week as the money was borrowed on interest. Taking cognizance of Prabhawati Devi’s complaint with Jan Samvaad Kendra, CM said that people should not suffer at any cost.

The women of ‘Aashadeep’ women group in Torpa had deposited the amount against the supply of solar lights which were never delivered to them. The CM also suggested them to join Sakhi Mandal.

In another matter related to Kundahith farmers, PDS Secretary directed Jamtara DC to pay farmers their dues of Rs 32 lakh. Paddy for `80 lakh was purchased from the farmers through lamps but Rs 32,000 remained due till date.

Das also directed officials to sort out the matter of appointment of Poshan Sakhi at Raikinari in Jarmundi of Dumka through conducting Gram Sabha and asked them to take action on the SDO why he waited for 5 long months when the selected people did not join as Poshan Sakhi.

In a matter related to the transport authorities not giving permit to 250 buses and 180 trucks, already approved on September 27 which was ready for delivery on October 29, CM asked the concerned officials to sort out all the problems in Ranchi by December 28 itself.

The Chief Minister also ordered immediate relief to Shashikant Sen coming from Tharihat in Dumka whose house was gutted into fire but was never provided any relief by the State Government. The DC said that the money was made available by the Disaster Management department due to which he could not be paid any relief. CM immediately asked Disaster Management Department to provide immediate relief to Sen.

On the compliant raised by Abhay Bhagat of Manjeera in Gumla that the Para Teachers of State upgraded Middle School Manjeera were not able to teach the students due to which the educational work was being affected, the Chief Minister asked SDO to look into the matter and file a report in this regard.
