Panki Assembly constituency has been put under tight vigil of district armed police, CRPF CobRA, Jharkhand Jaguar, STF and Home Guards. Palamu range DIG Saket Kumar Singh said security forces have been deployed all over this constituency that has been divided into clusters.
One helicopter air lifted poll officials for six booths in Chak in Manatu from Daltonganj Chiyanki air strip on Sunday morning. On Monday the polled EVMs of all these six booths in Chak along with the poll officials would be brought back. SP Palamu Patel Mayur said that poll officials will be brought back soon after the polling ends at 3 PM on Monday. As a part of precautionary measures arms licences of 25 holders in this constituency have been cancelled said DC Palamu Amit Kumar.
