Security has been beefed up in view of Karma and Bakrid (Eid-ul Azha) across Bokaro and Dhanbad districts. The district police have deployed additional police forces at sensitive places for peaceful completion of the festivals.
On the direction of higher officials, SP Bokaro YS Ramesh has directed the cops necessary instruction, for peaceful completion of the festival in the district. He said that disputes among the people reported from any part of the district should be dealt according to the law to ensure that such cases are sorted out promptly.
“No one will be allowed to take law in their hand at any cost”, he added. Cops are instructed to tackle all adverse situations and keep strong security arrangements. Patrolling has been intensified to avert any untoward incidents in the districts, a police official said.
“Cops also asked to keep vigil on anti-social elements including motorbike riders inside the city as well as on the entry point in the cities. Miscreants would be dealt strictly and no compromise will be made in providing security to the people,” he added.
More than 20 spots were identified as the most sensitive place only in Bokaro and cops were asked to keep special attention.
