A day after the serial landmine blasts triggered by the Maoists at Jitpur lRP on Saturday, search operation has been intensified across the bordering areas of Dhanbad-Giridih-Bokaro.
A joint team of district police and CRPF 154 battalion conducted search operations and lRP are in Jitpur and other surrounding area across the boardering area of Dhanbad-Giridih on Sunday.
“Peeved over the Parasnath Action Plant, the CPI maiost triggered powerful serial landmine blast at Jitpur on Saturday, which resulted into injuries of six CRPF cops”, police sources said. Team led by Dhanbad SSP S K Jha and CRPF commandants raids are on in those areas, police said.
According to the police, this attack was planned by CPI maiost Zonal Commander Nunuchand Mahato to stop the ongoing development plan in this area and there is a reward of `10 lakh on his head.
Its’ found during investigation that these explosives were planted one year earlier by the Maoists on the downhill dirt road and were exploded yesterday from a distance of approx 70-75 feet from the road, he said.
Security forces on move; aiming to root out naxalism from these hillocks regions, he said.
