On the directive of School Education Secretary Smt Aradhana Patnayak, BEEO Mahendra Singh of Bermo organised a daylong workshop with all school heads, local body heads and SMC, heads at Ram Ratan High school, Phusro here on Saturday. A total number of 72 school heads, local body members (Mukhiya) and SMC heads attended the workshop.
According to BEEO, Mahendra Singh, the programme aimed to bring focus on the drop out, admission, perspective of learning for children of slum areas, improvement of MDM, and effective leadership. The meeting was also aims to significant of teacher professional development and improvement of teacher quality among the primary and middle schools were placed high on the agenda during the discussion, Singh further added.
BEEO Mahendra Singh reiterated the importance of education and emphasised that irrespective of various designations and positions that the participants hold in their respective schools, the ultimate goal is for the benefit of the SC, ST and slum area’s children.
Following the speech by several mukhiyas and teachers gave a presentation on basic education policy at the workshop.
