The district is suffering from a lot of scarcity of teachers. As many as 408 posts were allotted for schools while only 95 teachers have been rendering their services. At the same time, 1,224 posts are allotted for primary and middle school but only 775 teachers are posted.
There are 36 high schools and 642 primary and middle schools in the district 22 high schools have their own building while construction work is going on for other 5 schools. likewise, 575 schools of primary and middle section have their own buildings and construction work is on progress for 41 schools. These are 74 middle schools in the district and all the schools run without principal. The teachers suffer for withdrawing their salary each month. Promotion of the teachers is suspended for 25 years and the list is sent to regional co-ordinate and will be promoted after the meeting of establishment committee.

The chief Advisor of Governor K. Vijay Kumar had earlier assured that recruitment process will be completed by 5th of September.
