MlA Hazaribagh Sadar Saurav Narayan Singh who belongs to Ramgarh Rajpariwar is going to contest from Hazaribagh parliamentary seat for the second consecutive time as Congress high command has once again given him the party ticket from this constituency. The 2009 nearest rival of MP Yashwant Sinha is going to fight once again to regain his ancestral seat.
Before 1971 in all parliamentary elections either the member of Ramgarh Rajpariwar or a candidate supported by them represented Hazaribagh in the parliament. In 1971 first time this seat slipped from the hands of the Rajpariwar but in 1977 Kunwar Basant Narayan Singh again captured the seat. later on he joined Congress party and in 1980 too won the election.
After his death, the Rajpariwar almost disappeared from the political picture and the comeback of Rajpariwar took place in 2004 with the arrival of an MBA graduate from Australia young and handsome Saurav Narayan Singh. In 2004-05 Saurav won the Hazaribagh Assembly constituency and revived the Congress party in this assembly constituency after about 20 years. In 2009 the party gave him a chance to fight the parliamentary elections and after 30 years Congress came into main contest in this constituency.
In Hazaribagh it is said that the success of Congress lies in the sweet smile of Saurav Narayan Singh (Congress ki jaan, Saurav ki madhur muskan). Hard working, easily accessible, soft spoken and sharp minded Saurav has revived the Congress undoubtedly in Hazaribagh and with time he had consolidated its grip on the constituency.
After 2009 defeat for some time it seems the moral of Congress workers is dipping down but by winning the next assembly elections Saurav boosted up the workers and since then he is regularly working hard in the entire parliamentary constituency. This time his supporters and Congress workers are confident that Saurav will surely bridge the gap of 40-50 thousand votes and will be able to represent Hazaribagh in the parliament.
