The second day of ‘Rail Humsafar Week’ was celebrated as ‘Satkar Diwas’ in Ranchi Rail Divison on Friday. On the occasion, the railway officials inspected the catering services and water facilities available for commuters at different stations. Senior DCM, Neeraj Kumar along with 10 officials visited two stations and inspected 22 food and catering stalls. Pantry car services were also inspected by the railway personnel.
Senior DCM of Ranchi Division Neeraj Kumar also inspected the base kitchen at Ranchi. Six officials of the division also inspected six pantry cars in different trains. During these inspections it was ensured that in all pantry cars/units maintain cleanliness, and quality of food. Also, no complaints regarding excessive charge on food comes from passengers.
The officials also inspected drinking water facilities at important stations so as to ensure that the drinking water facilities properly work at the stations and all taps are in good conditions.
During the drive the officials talked to 70 persons and 20 complaints of the passengers were solved on the spot.
