Under the Swachhata Pakhwada-2024 initiative, 329 sanitation workers of Chas Municipal Corporation were provided with hygiene kits, courtesy of ONGC CBM Asset Bokaro. The event was organized by the Handicraft Development Institute.
The event's chief guest was Chas Municipal Commissioner Anant Kumar. Distinguished guests included CGM Support Manager Balveer Singh, Assistant Municipal Commissioner Mukti Kidro, Chief General Manager of Human Resources Dayanand Kalundia, CSR General Manager Aman Kandulana, and HR Officer Avigardling Deepkarao. The hygiene kits, consisting of helmets, jumbo boots, jackets, hand gloves, and serrated brooms, were distributed to all 329 sanitation workers.
Anant Kumar congratulated and extended best wishes to the ONGC team and the Handicraft Development Institute for this noble effort. Following the distribution of the kits, all guests participated in a tree plantation drive in the Chas Municipal Corporation premises.
The ceremony saw the attendance of several municipal officials, city mission managers, and over 330 sanitation workers. The Municipal Commissioner praised the sanitation workers for their dedicated service in their respective wards and neighborhoods.
This event not only highlighted the significance of the sanitation workers' contributions but also took a significant step towards raising awareness about cleanliness in society.
