As part of an awareness and support campaign on menstrual health and hygiene, CII dedicated a coin based sanitary napkin dispenser at Baharagora College on Monday.
The Women Empowerment Committee of CII Jharkhand council alongwith Baharagora MlA Kunal Sarangi installed a first-of-its-kind sanitary napkin vending machine for the college in the state.
Sarangi appreciated the efforts of CII for holistic development and said this would help around 65 per cent of girl students who are coming from a rural and tribal base to develop a healthy practice of menstrual management while in the college campus and feel secured about their health.
Principal Mahalik of the Baharagora College, Baharagora welcomed the initiative and believes this facility will help the girls and working women in the college to avail of the hygienic alternative in the college.
