SAIl Day was celebrated by Bokaro Steel Plant (BSl) on Saturday. In line with the practice followed every year, ‘SAIl Day run’ was organised in the morning at the Mohan Kumar Manglam Stadium.
BSl CEO Anutosh Maitra flagged-off the SAIl Day run in the stadium in the presence of DIG (CISF) SN Singh, Executive Directors, General Managers, senior officials of the plant and a large gathering of fitness enthusiasts. Maitra initially administered the SAIl day oath and witnessed march past by students of various BSl as well as public schools.
The 5 km long race, which started from the stadium, was organised in different categories for boys and girls.
On the other hand, senior officers also participated in the run. In other categories, ladies, senior citizens and ex-employees also participated in the run. A cycle rally was also taken out by children of the Ethics Club of BSl schools. later in the evening, a cultural programme by students of various schools will be organised at the Bokaro Club premises.
