In this era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), an AI news anchor 'Pragati' has been developed by the Public Relations Department of BSL for its daily video news magazine 'Bokaro Darpan', which was launched by SAIL Chairman Amarendu Prakash during his visit to Bokaro. Praising this new initiative in the context of digital transformation, SAIL Chairman said that such future-oriented innovations reflect the culture of innovation in SAIL.
It is noteworthy that this AI voice cum visual model for news presentation has been developed by Abhinav Shankar, a young manager of the Public Relations Department, BSL himself using techniques like signal processing, sound engineering and natural language processing. Describing this model, Abhinav said that this AI voice has been developed completely in-house without the help of any external agency and it has been developed on Harvard's machine learning model Neptune 3.0 for language learning. This AI voice, due to its Hindi voice modulation and fine tuning of its natural language processing in tonality, is not only able to pronounce even the most difficult Hindi words accurately but also processes English words in Indian intonation, thereby It appears to be a natural voice without any robotic tone, and in this respect, it is not only the SAIL but also the most advanced Hindi AI voice model in the country at present.
Abhinav further told that in this series, another male AI voice named Utkarsh is also in the final stages of its development and he plans to develop 5 such AI news anchors for 'Bokaro Darpan' and Abhinav specialty extended his special thanks to the COC BSL Manikant Dhan for his round the clock support and guidance in developing AI Anchor .
