The 48th National Safety Day was celebrated by SAIL Safety Organisation on Monday at Ispat Bhawan premises, in the State capital.
The programme began with hoisting of safety flag in front of Ispat Bhavan auditorium by Director (Personnel), SAIL Atul Shrivastava, CEO, Bokaro Steel Plant PK Singh, CEO, ISP, Burnpur, Anirban Dasgupta, CEO, Rourkela Steel Plant, D Chattaraj, in presence of Executive Directors of all the plants and units of SAIL, senior officers and employees of SAIL, Ranchi units.
In the beginning, Safety badges were pinned for creating awareness among all the employees. Safety pledge was administered by Shrivastava and Singh in English and Hindi respectively to more than 300 employees present on this occasion. Suresh Kumar, DGM (SSO) gave inputs on importance of the National Safety Day (NSD).
To celebrate the auspicious day, a Safety Walk was organised on the morning of on Sunday for a gathering of about 200 employees and their family members.
