A veteran criminal Chhotu Rangsaaz alias Wazuddin Rangsaaz, 45, caught by sadar police Daltonganj in Garhwa town on Saturday was remanded in judicial custody on Sunday in Daltonganj today.
The police officer and his team that caught him in Garhwa town is the officer in charge of the sadar police station in Daltonganj Gautam Kumar.
This criminal remained uncaught for 1 year since 18.6.2022 the day one Ranchi based salesman Anjani Kumar Sinha was gunned down in broad daylight here in Daltonganj and this Rangsaaz was allegedly behind his murder for a supari of 2L of rupees stated the assistant superintendent of police and SDPO Rishabha Garg an IPS officer.
Garg said it is the game of fate that Rangsaaz was caught and jailed exactly on 18.6.2023 one year after the murder of the salesman Sinha. Garg held a press briefing today in Daltonganj.

Lawyers whom the Pioneer contacted today said "Palamu police will have to work extra hard to take this case to the trial stage as this man is accused of getting Sinha the sales man bumped off for a supari of 2L of rupees and police's version that he was in conversation with Amjad Hussain who wanted to eliminate Sinha for his business, is not that strong evidence to prove Rangsaaz's headlong involvement in the murder of the salesman Sinha."
The shooter Sohail said to be the points man of this criminal involved in the murder of Sinha is still at large and police will have to first arrest Sohail and then to collect evidences to prove Sohail and Rangsaaz piece of mind together in killing Sinha.
Sources said the Palamu police have scored a point but it has still the rigours to make face this veteran criminal any conviction.
