A former contractual teacher Veena Kumari in the B.Ed. department of Chatra college Chatra allegedly misbehaved with VC Prof Gurdeep Singh in his office chamber late on Tuesday evening. She was angry on V-C and other university officials for allegedly cheating her. As per eyewitnesses, she was in so much anger that she tried to attack VC Prof. Singh with her sandals.
As per sources the matter is about three years old. In 2014 a dispute between Veena Kumari and then principal of Chatra College Dr TN Singh has cropped up. The then principal has recommended her termination on the charges of taking reservation benefit though she was not eligible for that. Veena Kumari has made a complaint against the principal for mentally and physically torturing her.
At that time, the University administration has transferred both from Chatra College and had constituted an enquiry committee. Veena Kumari had also complained in the State Women Commission and a team of commission has enquired the matter in which it has found the principal guilty.
later the university administration agreed both the parties to compromise with each other. In the presence of VC Gurdeep Singh a compromise was reached. In the meanwhile Veena Kumari left VBU and as per her statement she is now working at Ranchi.
