Notably, on Sunday after scrutinizing nomination papers, the university officials declared two students of AJSU unfit to take part in the upcoming student union polls and finally, the matter led to a drama at the administrative block.

A group of 50-60 students of AJSU on Monday gheraoed the VC office and also accused him of  mismanagement being carried out in the name of student union elections at RU. A few students in the group blamed Dean, Student Welfare, RU and other administrative officials as ‘Dalals’. After the heated debate, Pandey warned the protesting students. As per the schedule, RU student election is on December 9 at college level and December 20 at university level. The entire episode can put hold on the upcoming student election conducted after a gap of nine years, if the VC resigns.

Expressing anger over the entire episode and on the conduct of students, Pandey, said, “The atmosphere at present is not suitable for work. The varsity is putting all its effort to conduct the student union polls smoothly but due to unnecessary interruption repeatedly all tasks take backseat. Students’ unruly behavior will not be tolerated at any cost.”

On Saturday last, two students union groups at Ranchi College created commotion after the nominations were cancelled. The university officers rejected the two members of AJSU and one member of ABVP on different grounds. The clash between two groups took a dirty turn at administrative block on Monday creating panic and infuriating the VC.
