The Ranchi University (RU) will soon appoint NET qualified teachers to meet the academic staff crunch. Notably, since 2008, the university has not recruited any teacher for any subject and is one major reason for not applying the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) at the Undergraduate level even after the recommendation of the UGC.
The RU will initiate classes in second shift from September as per the requirement of colleges for specific subjects. These decisions were taken by RU VC Ramesh Kumar Pandey at a meeting conducted with the college principals on Wednesday at RU administrative block.
