To avoid chaos over subject wise seat admission in BEd colleges like last year, State human resources development department is said to have asked Ranchi University (RU) to take decision on granting extension of temporary affiliation of 19 B.Ed colleges for 2014-15 session soon.
After affiliation committee’s approval to the ‘temporary affiliation’ on April 22, university syndicate members held an emergency meeting on Thursday only for this agenda. Vice Chancellor Dr lN Bhagat will head the Academic Council meeting on April 29. Thereafter, the final affiliation decision will be forwarded to the State Government immediately, said an university official. The fee structure of these institutions, including Sanghmitra B.Ed College, RTC B.Ed College, Bharthi B.Ed College and Patel B.Ed College along with 15 others colleges will probably be revised by the State Government. Another university official said that two among these 19 colleges namely Santosh B.Ed College and NN Ghosh Sanathan Teacher’s TT College are new ones so they will be granted temporary affiliation on some conditions.
