A Syndicate meeting of Ranchi University (RU) took place on Tuesday in the presence of Vice-Chancellor (VC), RU Ramesh Kumar Pandey, Pro-VC M Raziuddin, Proctor Dr. Diwakar Minz, Registar AK Choudhary and heads of the departments and approved several major decisions. Agendas like approval of University Grant Commission (UGC) grants for university, appointments of family members of deceased on the compensatory grounds have been approved at the syndicate meeting. Bethesada and Ursuline TT colleges were given No Objection Certificate (NOC) to initiate M Ed courses in the respective colleges.
This apart the committee has also approved finance committee decision considered in March on different grounds. Issues of promotions, retirements and payment of the staffs were also highlighted in the meeting.
