If one is planning to pursue B.Ed in any of the Government colleges of Ranchi University (RU), be ready to face the fee-hike. The Syndicate members of this state university have decided to increase the fee by Rs15,000.
Presently, there are three colleges under RU namely Ranchi Women’s College, Gumla College and Ranchi College imparting B.Ed.According to sources, the fees for the general category students will now be Rs40,000. Earlier, it was Rs25,000. The Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students will have to pay Rs35,000. Previously, it used to be Rs22,000.
The decision will be applicable from 2014-15 session onwards. As many as nine agendas were discussed today.RU Syndicate has also approved the proposed fund for development plans of the university for the financial year 2014-15. Vice Chancellor Dr lN Bhagat headed the meeting.
