The Ranchi University (RU) has finally received Rs3 crore for the girls’ model college to be constructed at Gumla on Tuesday. State Human Resource Development (HRD) department has granted Rs6 crore and Rs50 lakh for this university’s development concerning upcoming constructions and central library.
Under the supervision of Higher Education Director Dhirendra Nath Ojha, a meeting among the Registrars of RU, Kolhan University (KU) and Nilamber Pitamber University (NPU) was held to discuss on the reserve fund and non-teaching staffs distribution among these universities by RU.
It is to be noticed KU and NPU were bifurcated from RU few years back and have been demanding adequate financial support and employees to manage its administration.
“Now that we have been sanctioned the model college fund, we will soon give a proposal to the HRD for the construction of this college,” said RU Registrar Amar Kumar Choudhary.
Choudhary added, “We are yet to decide over the division of third and fourth grade employees in KU and NPU.”
Talking to The Pioneer, Ojha said, “A meeting on this issue would be held in details on May 27 since RU VC and Registrar have requested for some more time to work out on the management scenario.”
