RSS chief exhorts people to achieve goals without getting distracted

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said that one should not get diverted or influenced by others while moving towards one’s goal but should follow the path leading towards it, without getting influenced by others or doing work in reaction.

Bhagwat was addressing a huge gathering — ‘Ekal Sangam’ — organised here at Birsa Munda Football stadium to celebrate the silver jubilee year of Ekal movement in Jharkhand. “People might try to obstruct you while moving towards the goal through their comments, creating panic or their praises, you should not get influenced by those obstructions and should move on to achieve the status of world ‘guru’ for Mother India,” said Bhagwat. Vikas Bharti chief Ashok Bhagat presided over the function.

He also added that sometimes you achieve something unexpected in your life as one never expected that Ekal movement will achieve what it exactly has achieved in the State. “I was in charge of Bihar Jharkhand during 1989 when the idea was being constituted, whatever was expected to be done at that time is exactly being done today by our volunteers,” he pointed out.

According to Bhagwat, India will be shining till Hindu community is safe, the day Hinduism is destroyed, Indian culture itself will be destroyed on its own. He also added that the goal of making India the world leader could not be thought of until the 30 crore villagers and tribal people do not get empowered which is being made possible through Ekal movement. “This could be possible only by connecting each and every village by making them independent, self sustaining, educated and organized; then only the goal of world leader for Mother India could be achieved,” added Bhagwat.

Bhagwat also made the volunteers and children of Ekal movement take pledge that the goal of world leader for the Mother India will be achieved in the next 12 to13 years by the time RSS celebrates its centenary of its foundation.

Hundreds of volunteers of at least five thousand villages of Ranchi and adjoining districts gathered here during the ‘Ekal Sangam’ to mark the completion of 25 years of Ekal movement in Jharkhand. Ekal movement is working towards educating the children of over 4 lakh such villages where 36 crore aborigines are deprived of the basic amenities like food, water and electricity. Volunteers of Ekal movement have been working to make them educated, self dependent and organized.

Besides providing education to those children, encouraging development of the village, generating self esteem among the villagers along with providing medical assistance and cultural development are the fields where Ekal movement is working for. Addressing the gathering at Morhabadi, Shyamji Gupt said that they aspire to establish one lakh Ekal Vidyalaya across the country during the next one year which currently counts to 60,000. Social activist Ashok Bhagat also said that Ekal Vidyalaya have made the villagers self dependent in the State while keeping their culture and traditions intact with them. “We have worked taking the real issues in the villages,” said Bhagat. Bhagwat also felicitated 10 volunteers who have made important contribution for making Ekal movement possible in the State.
