Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy in a tweet to ED has demanded for safety of CA Suman Singh in Hotwar jail. According to Roy this jailed CA of Puja Singhal, from whom ED had recovered Rs19 crores cash, is being tortured by Prem Prakash and his associates now also in Hotwar jail following ED raids.
Roy, told media persons in Dhanbad that Prem Prakash had met former Ranchi DC Chhavi Ranjan in jail is involved in torture.
Roy, quoting sources said that Suman since is willing to turn government approver in the Puja Singhal cases thus he is being tortured. Suman had said to ED that the money recovered from his premises belonged to Puja Singhal. Now Prem Prakash and his associates in Hotwar jail want Suman "not" to turn approver and accept that the recovered sum belonged to him.
Roy said, it is the moral and legal responsibility of ED to protect Suman Singh in the larger public interest.
It's worth mentioning that the ED in a recent raid at Hotwar jail had confiscated CCTV footage in which Prem Prakaah was seen meeting Chabi Ranjan with a covered face. The issue of torture came up soon after.
