BJP leader Saryu Roy warned the State Government of serious repercussions of high-handedness against people protesting the pathetic electricity conditions in the State.
In a Press communique, Roy asked the Government to stop the atrocities against people protesting and change its attitude by withdrawing cases lodged against BJP leader Yashwant Sinha and other party workers.
Sinha and other party workers were taken into custody after an intense protest against the electricity office of Hazaribagh.
In the Press communique, Roy said that the people of the State are eager to join movement against electricity board for their failure to address electricity woes and indicated that the protesters’ refusal to accept the leadership of political parties is a welcome sign of people’s movement against increasing problems related to electricity and water supply.
Roy also urged the party to take a call on the issue and align itself with people’s problem which has been taken up by party workers at all levels across the State.
