Members of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina along with the students of Jamshedpur High School, Bistupur, joined hands for a tree plantation drive at the school campus. More than 50 saplings of fruits and flowers were planted.
The students were also given a talk on the importance of planting trees for our environment and how to protect trees.
The tree plantation programme was launched today, this year, after assuring that the soil had received adequate rainfall which would help to improve the survival of the newly planted saplings.
The saplings would be nurtured by students who are thinking of further beautifying the place with flower beds, fruits and a green belt.
Members present were president Sonal Agrawal, Pasam Adesara, Babita Kedia, Geeta Dubey, Neha Agrawal, Megha Tulsyan Rashmi Singh, Jasmine, Vinita, Shashi, Shweta Jalan, Reena, and Vandana.
