Thieves decamped with cash and jeweleries worth over Rs 22 lakh fromVijaya Heritage, a posh residential colony under Kadma police station area late last night. The criminals entered the house as owner of the house, Vishal Anand, who was on his duty at a Mango-based call centre and wife Anshu at Nicco Amusement Park along with her five-year-old daughter.
The thieves decamped with `17 lakh cash and gold ornaments worth over `5 lakh by breaking open the front door of the flat. Deputy superintendent of police, V N Singh and officer-in-charge, Kadma police station Rash Behari lal inspected the flat. Officer-in-charge, Kadma police station said as per the situation of the flat it is clear that a theft was committed. They are making efforts to nab the thieves who committed the crime at Vijaya Heritage. The victim, on being asked, said that his father was constructing a house at Ranchi and therefore he had kept so much cash at home.
