Road Safety Awareness Week is being celebrated by the Safety Engineering Department of BSL from 6th to 11th June to make the workers aware of "Road Safety" and to control road accidents at Bokaro Steel Plant. In this sequence, on 6th June, CGM (Safety Engineering and Fire Services) Amarendra Jha flagged off a road safety awareness chariot equipped with audio-visual from the main gate of the plant inside the plant premises. The Safety Safety Awareness chariot will pass through various routes and departments of the plant to convey road safety messages to the personnel through audio-visual. Workshop on road safety will also be organized in all the main departments of the plant during Road Safety Awareness Week.
In another event Tree plantation was done under the leadership of Executive Director (Works) Sanjay Kumar on the occasion of Environment Day at BOD Plant of Coke Oven and By Product Plant of BSL. On this occasion, CGM (Security Engineering & Fire Services) Amarendra Jha, CGM (Coke Oven) Rakesh Kumar, CGM (Civil Maintenance) Shaligram Singh and other officers planted trees. General Manager (Coke Oven) and Departmental Safety Officer Shiv Shankar explained in detail about the operation of the BOD plant. During this, other officers and personnel of Coke Oven, ECD and CED were present.
