We have asked him for whatever the government can provide for such projects,” said Deputy Mayor of RMC, Sanjeev Vijyawargiya.

The review meeting was attended by Town Commissioner, Prashant Kumar; Deputy Town Commissioner, Ramlakhan Gupta and other seniour officials of RMC.

Singh emphasised at early rehabilitation of displaced people in flats being constructed under Basic Services for Urban Poor project at Rugrigarha and also improving amenities at Madhukam where displaced people have been allotted flats at a nominal cost. “I am satisfied with the work of RMC,” said Singh soon after emerging out of the closed door meeting.

The RMC board also asked for greater interest of the department in drinking water projects and appealed for funds to set up High Yield Deep Tube Well and deep bore wells to meet water requirements of the capital.
