The rain Gods are yet to shower their blessings in the city. Monsoon is predicted to hit the city at the end of this month. In addition to bringing relief from scorching temperatures, monsoon can also cause a lot of mayhem if not managed properly.

The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) conducted a meeting on Monday discussing ways of managing the arrival and aftermath of the monsoon season.

Concerned officials of the RMC took part in the meeting and discussed ways of controlling the chaos caused by heavy rains.

Sanjeev Vijaywargiya, Deputy Major, Ranchi said, “We have made a list of all the big drains in the city and in the course of 10 to 15 days we will be executing its cleanliness related work”.

In addition to this RMC, has appointed one person for every three wards for looking over the work going on in there. Garbage management was also paid heed to in the meeting. The officials have appointed a person for every MTS centre in the city. Proper garbage disposal and waste management is necessary during the rainy season. Littered roads and water logging due to wastes is a common phenomenon observed during monsoons. RMC has started the cleanliness work and is also looking forwards to executing their proposed plans too.
