“The special CBI court issued his release order. All legal formalities were completed. The signature of Lalu Prasad was obtained on documents for submission before the court. Laluji is at AIIMS where he is being treated for kidney and other diseases. We are waiting and watching whether the AIIMS discharges him or not. He is very weak and all of us are very worried about his health,” said Md Irfan who is a close aide of Lalu Prasad.
He said that Lalu Prasad will come home only if doctors permit him because of his condition.
Lalu Prasad was held guilty in this case on February 15. After that, he was hospitalized at RIMS owing to bad health. Later on, the jail administration shifted him to AIIMS.
