The district unit of Rashtriya Janta Dal organised Qaumi Ekta Sammelan in the Town Hall of Hazaribagh on Monday keeping in view the coming festival of Ramnavmi. State President Gautam Sagar Rana, former Minister Annupurna Devi, Ex-MlA Janardan Paswan and other leaders were present in this meeting.

Chief Guest Ex-MlA cum Minister Annupurna Devi said that social justice and social harmony are the basic principles of Rashtriya Janta Dal. The party has always worked to unite the society but nowadays some elements are active to disrupt the social harmony of the society and it is the duty of all party workers to fight against these forces with full strength. Criticising both Central and State Governments she said that the leaders of treasury benches are busy making one announcement after another, but at ground level the reality is different.

State President Gautam Sagar Rana said, “India is a country of all religions, castes and creeds and everyone has got same rights and duties by the constitution but a section of activists are trying to grab the opportunities from the weaker sections. Unfortunately both Central and State Governments are patronising them that is why the party called this Qaumi Ekta Sammelan to make the people aware about the tricks of these troublemakers”.

Ex-MlA Janardan Paswan said that India got freedom due to sacrifices of denizens of all religions and castes and it is unfortunate that we had to organise Qaumi Ekta Sammelan because of things going on in entire country.

The general people are suffering with increasing price rise, shortage of opportunities, shortage of basic amenities and dialog is going on everywhere on patriotism, national and anti-national, review of reservation policy etc. which is a matter of concern for all of us.

District President Bhuvaneshwar Patel presided the meeting and welcomed everyone present in the hall. State Vice President Ashok Chaurashiya, State Secretary Arjun Yadav, State Spokesperson Harish Srivastava and other leaders also addressed the gathering and appealed to everyone present to remain alert during the festival of Ramnavmi and to work for maintaining peace and harmony in the society.
