Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi Director today sought unconditional apology at the Jharkhand High Court in relation to the case pertaining to violation of jail manual by RJD chief Lalu Prasad.
A hearing was held in the Court of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh on Friday in the jail manual violation case where an SOP was filed on behalf of the Jail IG amending the Jail Manual. On the other hand, the Medical Board report was filed on behalf of the RIMS Director, who apologised unconditionally. After seeing both the reports, the Court adjourned the hearing for a long time.
During the hearing, Lalu Prasad's medical report was filed in the Court on behalf of the Director of Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS). The RIMS Director apologised to the Court for not filing the report on time. The RIMS Director said that his mother's health was poor and due to this, he could not file the medical report related to Lalu Prasad at the time given by the Court.
Advocate Devarshi Mandal on behalf of Lalu Prasad and Additional Advocate General Ashutosh Anand on behalf of the State Government put forward their arguments in the Court.
In the last hearing, the Court had asked the State Government, how was Lalu Prasad's health condition. Lalu Prasad's advocate Devarshi Mandal had told the Court that his health was not in good condition. “He is battling 16 types of serious diseases. He is undergoing treatment at Delhi AIIMS,” said Mandal.
Additional Advocate General Ashutosh Anand submitted a favour on behalf of the State Government.
The explanation of the RIMS Director and the medical report related to Lalu Prasad could not be heard on the Court records. It may be mentioned here that in the previous hearing; the High Court had expressed displeasure at the RIMS management over Lalu Prasad's jail manual violation case and asked why the answer was not filed in time. The Court gave time to file the reply.
