Political parties are putting all efforts to woo voters with rallies, road shows, meetings and door-to-door campaign in Bokaro and Dhanbad districts. Polling in constituencies of both districts is scheduled to be held on December 9 and 14. Bokaro district comprises four assembly constituencies includes Gomia(34), Bermo(35), Bokaro (36) and Chandankiyari (37).
Gomia and Bermo are going for poll on December 9, while polling in Bokaro and Chandankiyari is scheduled on December 14. Dhanbad district consists of six legislative assemblies—Sindri, Nirsa, Dhanbad, Jharia, Tundi and Baghmara --going for poll on December 14.
The constituencies under Bokaro district are expected to witness bi-polar contest while constituencies under Dhanbad districts are have to witness triangular contests. Several star campaigners including Amit Shah, Giriraj Singh, Shahnawaz Hussain including others recently visited the constituencies to garner support for BJP candidates.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Smriti Irani’s visits are schedule on 7 and 9 December respectively. Modi will address a mass rally at Barwa Adda airstrip in support of BJP candidates of Giridih, Dhanbad and Bokaro district’s constituencies.
Besides Web casting, Videography and Still photography two choppers will keep close watch on free and fare poll even in the difficult terrain of the constituency. Most of the polling booths are converted into model booths and equipped with drinking water facilities, sitting arrangements with shades to facilitate the votes.
