PIrate residents of Dulhi village squatted before the Paton police station on Friday November 2 demanding recovery of Khushboo Devi a married woman who stands disappeared since October 9.
Police said as she is 18 plus and married for over two years her case cannot be described as a case of missing but a straight case of disappearance.
The woman is of Dulhi village and is married to a jawan of Indian Air Force who hails from Teelkudeeh village. The IAF jawan is posted in Bareilly. Nutan Modi officer in charge of Paton police station said on Saturday, “ Residents ghaeroed Paton police station on Friday and demanded recovery of this woman disappeared since October 9. We are working hard for her recovery. We have assured the Dulhi people of our all out efforts in this case.”
Rustum Khan inspector of police Parwa police station said, “Her disappearance is mysterious. She went out from her in laws’ house at Teelkudeeh on the morning of October 9. There is no trace of her since then. Her whereabouts are unknown till date.”
Khan did not rule out fatal mishap coming to her as well but said “All that we are doing with hope is to find her out alive.” Nutan said Khushboo had no cell phone with her and this has further complicated this case of disappearance.
She expressing wonder said it defies all common sense as to how a wife of an IAF jawan has no cell phone with her!
Paton police have meanwhile caught and jailed father Bali Singh and mother Subhadra Devi of the IAF jawan the husband of this disappeared woman. Palamu police are to go to Bareilly soon to qizz this IAF jawan the husband of Khushboo.
About the married life of this disappeared woman Modi said, “As per the versions of the people of Dulhi village it was far from smooth , loving and caring. The husband had not visited his wife in about two years of their marriage.This coming Chhathh it will be a 2 year of their marriage but her husband never visited her.”
Khushboo was also not allowed here at her in law’s house to meet and chat with other village women said police officer.
Khushboo had even once contradicted her father’s version of her being tortured by her in law’s family as her father had approached Mahila Thana in Daltonganj where her father had gone to lodge the complaint but here Khushboo made a U turn and disputing her father’s version told the lady police officer Dullar that “All is well with her in her in law’s house” recalled Paton OC Nutan Modi.
