Residents of Dhurwa elated over NaMo rally

Elated with the news of BJPs Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s rally being organised at Prabhat Tara Ground in Dhurwa on December 29, HEC residents claim that security will never be an issue as the area has already witnessed several international events in the past. According to the locals, Dhurwa is a better option than Morhabadi ground as more and more people could be accommodated in the ground.

“This is really good news for us that NaMo will be addressing a rally here in this ground as we will not have to go any far to hear him,” said a local resident Ayodhya Prasad. From security point of view, this place was better than Morhabadi as no one could escape this place after committing any crime as it has limited exit points, he added. “Moreover, people here, are very cooperative who will never let any untoward incident happen in their area. This place is a safe place from security point of view also as no can escape easily from here after committing a crime,” said Prasad.

Talking in a lighter vain, Prasad also added that the organizers would not have to think about the crowd management as Dhurwa itself has a huge strength consisting a population of about 200 villages in it.  “The situation which has been created in the Country, all are eying towards Modi to find a way out for their problems … people are even ready to take risks for that,” said a local student Ramprawesh Singh preparing for competitive examinations. He said, “All of us will have to take risks in our life if they really want some change.”

Another old age resident of Dhurwa however, believes that a leader has no risk from the crowd rather they have threat from another leaders or opponent party. “As far as I have heard or read in the newspapers Modi seems to be a good person having fair chances of becoming the Prime Minister of this Country…. We will definitely go there to hear his speech this time,” said Ganeshwar Sahu.

Meanwhile, Ranchi SSP Bheem Sen Tuti along with City SP, Traffic SP and Special Branch SP visited Prabhat Tara ground on Tuesday to take stock of the situation.  A meeting was also held on the ground with the organizers of the rally where both parties exchanged their requirements and shared views with each others.

A thorough discussion took place between the two over the entry and exit points as well as the proposed site for the stage from where Modi will address the rally. The organizers demanded proper security arrangements for the rally. NaMo is to address a rally at Prabhat Tara ground in Dhurwa on December 29 after the local administration rejected BJPs application for providing Morhabadi ground for his rally.
