In politics nothing is unusual.Here in Dhanbad when panchayat elections are on the reservation of seats by election commission has compelled husband and wife to exchange seats to remain in the political frame.
Husband Robin Chand Gorai happens to be sitting chairman of district board while his wife Anita is mukhiya of Patharkuan panchayat of Kaliasol block .
Robin represents area no 27 of the district board . Incidentally, this area now has been reserved for a woman candidate .
This has put the husband-wife duo in a fix but as known every problem has a solution too .The duo hammered out a solution by deciding to exchange roles .
Robin said ,"My wife has remained my mentor in politics and if I become chairman it was her hard work . Thus what a good respect it would be to ask her to fight for the district board seat ".
When asked what would be your role Robin said , "I would be contesting for the mukhiya post from Pathakuan that has been represented by my wife two successive terms ".
Both would file nominations during the third phase when Kaliasol block would go for polls. Now let's see who gets what when results come on May 31.
