The Chancellor of Universities of Jharkhand Dr. Syed Ahmad has ordered the Vice Chancellor of Vinoba Bhave University Dr RN Bhagat to remove Finance Officer and Inspector of College, Arts and Commerce and to suspend Assistant Registrar II.
The sources of Chancellor Office said that the matter of these officers were in the Chancellor Office for last six months and after making several enquiries and asking show causes this final order has been made. All these appointments were made in VBU on the recommendation of JPSC.
When VBU received the recommendations the then VC had constituted a committee which had reported that these recommendations are wrong as the candidates do not posses requisite qualification for the posts. When The Pioneer queried about this development no one in VBU accepted that such type of order has come. However a source said that on Saturday some letters have come from Raj Bhawan and since VC is not here so it cannot be said that what is written in those letters.
