A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between RDCIS, SAIL, Ranchi and IIM, RANCHI today for collaborative work on process optimization of Base mix preparation and sintering. Under the MOA a Data analytics model will be jointly developed and implemented for process optimization of base mix and iron ore sintering process with the objective to minimize standard deviations of sinter quality, which will ultimately result reduction of coke rate, cost reduction, GHG emission.This data analytics intensive model shall be the right stepping stone for Industry 4.0. This initiative by SAIL, RDCIS was made under the guidance of Shri Nirvik Banerjee, ED(RDCIS), SAIL.
The MoA was Signed by Prof S Bera, IIM RANCHI & S. Goswami, CGM (IRON), RDCIS in the presence of D.K Srivastava, Director IIM RANCHI & Banerjee, ED RDCIS. Prof Rogers, Incharge MDP, IIM & P Pathak CGM (Rolling), N. Chakravarty GM (PC), A Mallick GM & HOG ME&A, were also present during the event.
